NAME: Lily Baskerville
AGE: Appears to be 12 but is actually over 100 years old.
CANON: Pandora Hearts
CANON HISTORY: here
CANON PERSONALITY:
Lily is the youngest member of the Baskerville family and because of this she is very childish in many respects. Despite her time in the Abyss, one hundred years, it barely felt like it to her since the flow of time is altered. So many of her personality traits remain the same as well as her values.
At her core Lily is a highly emotional and reckless character. Her emotions drive her in most situations and she rarely thinks before she flies off the handle. This is why she typically gets in a lot more trouble than she should at times. She will often resort to violence and attack when she is upset instead of calmly talking it out. Much like a child throwing a tantrum, except this child has a dangerous creature to help her fight and kill. With this fact her idea of playing is a little warped. While she is playful in nature, her way of playing is allowing her chain to kill those on her mission and to attack other chains. This just shows how brutal she can be and sometimes has to be. Showing that despite her age she is more than ready to do what is needed and has killed people before on Master Glen's orders.
Since she was shunned and left to die by her own village and real family, all she knows is that the Baskervilles took her in; with love and acceptance so as far as she's concerned, they are her real family. It's because of this acceptance for the first time in her life that she is so fiercely protective of them and loyal to Master Glen. All she has is her family and she's never had anyone she could call a friend. So while she genuinely wants to have a playmate and friends, the idea is still something new for her. The way of going about making friends is still a little hard for her to wrap her mind around. Though the more she feels connected to someone, the more she desires their friendship. This is clear in the way she felt close to Reim and asked to be his friend. So even when he shot her, she still felt hurt and wanted to be friends. Not completely understanding why her desire to follow Glen's orders is so bad to Reim and others.
Regardless of the negativity in her past, Lily remains almost painfully optimistic and happy at times. She can almost be seen as bubbly in nature, but this leads to how she can be quite ignorant and naive, or even gullible. She is quick to pour her heart out when she feels comfortable and trusts people she views as similar to herself. For example, when Reim showed her his chain, she never expected it to be a distraction before he shot her and it exemplifies her trusting and naive nature. She believes the best in most people, enough that she can also be extremely honest in reply and will share her plans when she likes someone. However she can be wary if it's needed or if she knows the person is dangerous. Her main defense when she is hurt is to resort to playing with Bandersnatch with the source of the pain. This can be bad enough that others have to even step in to comfort and stop her behavior.
Although she is naive to many matters she is not dumb by any means. Lily is very good at picking up things from other people, if she focuses. She can tell, with Vincent, when the man is lying to her. Especially when it has to do with his teasing her. It's all in harmless fun but it still hurts her feelings, mostly when her 'bad luck' is brought up in someway. Lily is sensitive in many sense and cries easily if she's hurt but the one topic she doesn't like is her 'bad luck'. Being a member of the Baskerville she distorts the people around her but it seems that her distortion can be more than others at times. So when it's brought up she does get upset and will get defensive.
Lily is also very blunt at times and doesn't know how to filter what she does and doesn't say to people. She will tell it like it is and tell a person just what she thinks of them. This is especially true if the other person is teasing her or being mean. She is not above pointing out what she thinks and she will be extremely honest. This kind of behavior also leads to her being a little demanding at times but ultimately she isn't a bad person, just young. With age she would grow out of some but with the way her life is many will remain.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to heal from injuries sustained from outside the Abyss. A good example of this is when she was shot in the head with a gun by Reim. It hurt and she bled but it did not kill her. While Fang was able to be killed by Break's chain the mad hatter. This is mainly because they are close to chains themselves and that anything, besides something of the Abyss, can not kill them.
Another ability is the fact that Lily can warp the reality around her. This is manifested in the form of bad luck following her. It's because of this that her village thought it was the work of a devil and branded her. The actual reason is because she's a Baskerville.
The main ability that Lily uses, however, is her chain, Bandersnatch. She formed an illegal contract with the chain sometime after she was taken into the Baskerville estate. A chain is a creature of the Abyss that a human can form a contract with, usually being told they will receive something in return for the contract. While it will kill most and they will be dragged into the Abyss, Baskerville's are special and able to form contracts without falling into the Abyss. Lily is very close to her chain and treats it lovingly, holding a special bond. He is her primary means of protection as well as attacking.
More clarification to her reality distortion -
With the Baskerville's they are direct connections to the Abyss which is a world that normal humans should not be a part of. So because of this fact they distort reality in different ways. For Lily it is with bad luck. What this means is that those that are close to her have a tendency of having bad things happen. It can be something as simple of losing an item all the way up to someone dying. There are some very vague examples that happen in canon. The biggest is with her original family where she likely lost money, kept having children, ect. They then blame it on Lily and brand her face before throwing her into the woods to most likely die. It isn't something she has control of and more a result of her reckless personality and just merely being a Baskerville.

AU NAME: Lily Lamb
AU AGE: 12
PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES: No brand on her face, other wise she appears to be the same.
AU NAME: Lily Lamb
AU AGE: 12
PHYSICAL DIFFERENCES: No brand on her face, other wise she appears to be the same.
AU HISTORY:
Born to French and British parents, Lily grew up for a little while in London before moving to Recolle with her family. Having a few siblings, she grew up wealthy and with constant attention, always being given just about anything she wanted. Being the youngest child she was a little more spoiled but it also came with her parents being more protective of her. They even expect her siblings to watch out for her when her parents were away. Because of this, Lily feels smothered at times and it would result in her acting out. Usually wandering off or even hiding away from her siblings and family, just to create a stir or prove she is okay by herself. This usually backfired and results in them becoming even more protective. This also leads her to arguing more and picking fights with her family and those around her, since she doesn’t really know what kind of weight her words carry yet.
With her family's hobby of breeding purebred champion Dobermans, Lily from a young age always got along well with animals. This was especially true with her dog Tatcher, who she was raised with and is very protective of her. It is because of this hobby that she really wants to grow up to do a job related to animals and she is always ready to talk about animals to people.
Besides family Lily really wants to make friends with kids her age but finds it difficult. The first ‘friends’ she made, she thought were there because they liked her but she soon discovered they only wanted to be friends with a rich kid. She would hear the kids saying mean things about her but then saying they would suck it up because she was wealthy. Her desire to have friends resulted in her just ignoring this and still being ‘friends’ even though she knows they aren’t really her friends. When they move it does lead her to be a little more drawn in about making friends too fast. So she starts to spend more time reading or attempting to be friends with kids, while trying to not mention money or things.
In grade school Lily does what work she needs to in order to pass but doesn't go above that point. This is much to the disappointment of her teachers who are aware of how bright she really is. Since she has had history of other kids using her in a way she comes off as rude or bossy when trying to socialize with others. As a result she has been scolded by teacher or other kids don’t want to play with her. Lily just has a strong personality that is hard to get along with. So when she isn’t listened to she pouts or storms off, it leads her to dwell on it and then complaining or fussing later.
AU PERSONALITY:
- Because Lily was from a large family in canon but ignored and abandoned, she will be more demanding, mainly because she is from a better family environment and loves her family.
- In canon she is more inclined to cling to people she loves, because she has a deep seeded fear of them leaving her. So in Recolle she is more likely to run off, not wanting to be smothered or overprotected. Since she won’t have any fear of her family leaving her behind or throwing her away.
- More independent it isn’t uncommon for her to leave home and return hours later like nothing happened at all.
- Even though Lily is very reckless in canon she’s not as keen on arguing with others. In Recolle she likes to argue and will pick a fight just to do it. It is a way of acting out that is more typical of her testing boundaries.
- Even though Lily was fine with kids using her before they moved, them not even saying they would miss her results in her being more okay to spend time alone or with just her dog.
- Still she does desire friends and knows they could very well take advantage of her again, but still she wants to at least make friends. Although she is less inclined to admit her family has money or invite people over.
- In canon Lily is quick to let certain things go, unless it relates to hurting her family. In Recolle she will dwell on most things that upset her and will be ready to complain. Even lashing out or throwing a tantrum in a way.
